Indian daughter rocks- Four gold for India in the Women’s World Boxing Championship

Indian boxers have performed amazingly in the Women’s World Boxing Championship. Indian girls won four gold medals in a spectacular performance on home soil. It started with Neetu Ghangash winning the gold medal in the 45-48 kg category. After him, Sweety Buri won the gold medal in the 75-81 kg category.


The next day, Nikhat Zareen won gold in the 48-50 kg category to give the country its fourth gold medal and before the end of the competition, Lovlina Borgohain won gold in the 70-75 kg category to add a fourth gold to India.


India has won four gold medals in the Women’s World Boxing Championships after 17 years. This competition was being held in Delhi, the capital of India, and on home soil, the daughters made everyone proud by winning four gold medals. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the boxers who won gold medals.


1st medal- Neetu Ghangas at World Boxing Championship


Neetu won the gold medal in the 45 to 48 kg weight category by defeating the Mongolian wrestler. Neetu defeated Lutsaikhan of Mongolia. The match was very exciting and it was difficult for the spectators to guess the winner till the end. Even before the result of the match was announced, both the wrestlers were ready to celebrate the victory, but in the end, the Indian wrestler won and the Mongolian wrestler was disappointed.


2nd medal- Sweety Boora at World Boxing Championship

Sweety Boora won the gold medal in the 75-81 kg weight category. Sweety defeated China’s, Lina Wong. Throughout the match, there was a close fight between the two players. However, Sweety had a 3-2 lead in the first two rounds. In such a situation, after the third round, the decision went for review. Here too the result went in favor of Sweety and India got its second gold medal in the competition.


3rd medal- Nikhat became the world champion for the second time

Nikhat Zareen won India’s third gold medal at the Women’s World Boxing Championships. She defeated Nguyen Thi Tam of Vietnam in the final. In the final match, Nikhat performed brilliantly from the beginning. He took a 5-0 lead in the first round. After this, he continued his lead in the second round as well.


In the third round, she landed powerful punches on the Vietnamese boxer. After this, the referee stopped the match to inquire about the condition of the Vietnamese boxer. Nikhat’s victory was decided from here. In the end, she won the match with a margin of 5-0 and won the Women’s World Boxing Championship for the second time in a row.


4th gold-Lovlina Borgohain at World Boxing Championship

Lovlina Borgohain won the gold medal in the 70-75 kg weight category to give the country its fourth medal. She defeated Australian boxer Caitlin Ann Parker of Australia in the final match. In this match, there was a close fight between the two players. Lovlina won the first round with a margin of 3-2. At the same time, the Australian player won the second round.


In the third and last round, there was a close fight between the two and in the end the result of the match went for review. All the judges together declared Lovlina the winner. With this, the country got the fourth gold medal in this competition. In this way, a total of four gold medals came in India’s bag in the competition.
