Nikhat Zareen

Nikhat will face Rio Olympics bronze medallist Ingrit Valencia of Colombia in the semi-finals.

What Nikhat said after the match- “Today’s contest was a close fight, but yet I won by split decision. I’m incredibly glad that I was able to confirm a medal for my country. Insha’Allah, I’ll also win gold, God willing. Since I won the first two rounds 3-2, I tried to keep a distance in the third round, but there was a lot of clinching, and I was feeling really worn out. This was my plan all along: win the first two rounds, then play a little in the third.”

Nitu Ghangas

Nitu will face reigning Asian champion and last year’s World Championships silver medallist Alua Balkibekova of Kazakhstan

What Nitu said after the match-“To win the gold, our entire team is present. I’ll give it everything I’ve got. If you become furious within the ring, it will be difficult for you to focus. It’s crucial to keep your composure. Three victories by RSC is a terrific result. The pressure will be on my following adversary.”

Lovlina Borgohain

What Lovlina Borgohain said after the match-I place a lot of importance on this medal. Other than bronze… I’d like to alter the colour of it. This will be very beneficial to me as experience for the Asian Games as well.
Although I had to regulate my weight quite a bit in my previous category, I feel more at ease in this weight category. I’m adjusting to this new category well.
