3.4-magnitude earthquake hits Katra in Jammu and Kashmir

Authorities reported that a 3.4 magnitude earthquake occurred Monday night in the Katra region of Jammu and Kashmir. They said that there had been no reports of casualties or property damage. The National Centre for Seismology reported that the earthquake occurred at 10.07 pm at a depth of 25 km.

The epicentre was located 89 kilometres east of Katra. Tremors were felt in Reasi and Doda districts in the Union territory.

On February 17, an earthquake of 3.6 magnitudes hit the Katra belt.
