WORLD’S ONLY NONUPLETS

The world’s only NONUPLETS have achieved the Guinness World Records title for the most children delivered at a single birth to survive. Their father, Abdelkader Arby, an officer in the Malian army, has told BBC that all the babies are in perfect health.

Originally from Mali, Halima gave birth in Morocco after her country’s government flew her there to ensure she received the specialist care she required.

Scans prior to the birth showed doctors only spotted seven of the babies. However, when she gave birth by Caesarean section nine tiny babies weighing 500g and 1kg (1.1lb and 2.2lb) were delivered. In a conversation with BBC, Halima said: “My children do not sleep at the same time. Some sleep a bit later, when others wake up.”  NONUPLETS

Abdelkader told the Daily Mail: “Being together as a family is the best thing in the world, and we give thanks to God all the time. The most important thing is that we are all safe and well, and in great hands.”

The boys are named Oumar, Elhadji, Bah and Mohammed VI and girls are named Adama, Oumou, Hawa, Kadidia, and Fatouma.
