In Indian dishes, bay leaves play an important role. It gives an aromatic smell, taste, and nutrition to the food. But have you ever thought of making tea with nutritional bay leaves.
ABOUT BAY LEAVES
Bay leaves are aromatic and enrich with high nutrition content. This leave species is in use since the earliest time. It is originated in the Asia Minor region and distributed all over the Mediterranean region and other parts of Asia. This leaf was a symbol of achievement in the form of a crown in ancient Greece. This leafy crown was the coveted prize competitors strived for in the Olympics.
DIRECTION
There are many methods to make bay leave tea
Type 1-
Ingredients-
- Bay leaves 6-8
- 3-4 cups of water
steps-
- boil water in the bowl
- add bay leaves and boil it for 5-8 mins
- steep it for 15 mins. then again boil for 2 mins.
- strain the tea serve
Type 2
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 4-5 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 3-4 cups of water
Steps-
- Boil water in a container.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon powder and the bay leaves and boil for 5 mins.
- Strain the water
- let it cool and then add honey
this is best for weight loss
Type 3
BAY LEAVE TEA (KADHA)
Ingredients
- 4-5 bay leaves
- 1 cinnamon bark or 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1 teaspoon of ginger paste
- 1/3 teaspoon of turmeric
- 4-5 black pepper balls
- honey or sugar
Steps
- Add cinnamon, ginger slices, bay leaves, turmeric, and pepper into the boiling water.
- boil it for 10 mins
- strain the tea
- after sometimes add honey or sugar(optional)
