INGREDIENTS
Ash gourd/vellai poosanika/petha – 250 to 300g …… Serves: 2
Salt/ pink salt/ kala namak – 1 tsp.
Black pepper – 2 to 3 tsp.
Lemon juice – use 1 whole lemon if using a small one or ½ in case of a large one
Water – 600ml to yield two glasses or as required
DIRECTIONS
- Remove the skin and seeds from the required quantity of ash gourd.
- Cut them into large chunks.
- Blend all the ingredients well smooth.
- Finally, check the salt and pepper quantities before serving.
- At this stage, you could optionally add honey or sugar and give it a quick blitz.
- Serve chilled.
